Are You a Naija Looking for Hot Jobs?

Everywhere you turn, you see lots of unemployed young men and women moving from company to company looking for high-paying jobs in well established businesses. Different companies in Nigeria pays different wages to the same category of professionals. So, it is possible to have an accountant in Company A earning over $5,000 per year while the same professional can only earn a maximum of $1,000 in Company B.

In the language of the unemployed youth, vacancies in Company A will be classified as Hot Jobs, while vacancy in Company B will be classified as “Marking Time” or “Surviving“. Of course there are other terms used to classified jobs, but these are the common ones. You can get a dozen more from Nigerian Forum such as NairaLand, NaijaHotJobs, NigeriaBestForum, NewNigerians etc.

What is Nigeria’s Business in Obama 2008?

I have been trying till now to keep my nose out of what is none of my business. I am not a politician and I am not one to spend time debating on political issues. However, I am a businessman, anything that has to do with Nigeria and doing business in Nigeria is my BUSINESS!

I was minding my business and going about my online research when I noticed an article from Loy of StartUpsNigeria announcing that Google has launched Google News for Nigeria of course I was thrilled and I decided to check it out. (more…)

Welcome to NaijaEcash the Nigerian Entrepreneur. My name is Tony and I am proudly Nigerian. This blog is all about Entrepreneurs especially the small business owners. The small business owners will be given priority attention above other types of entrepreneurs. After-all we are in the majority in Africa though we get treated as the minority by the politicians.

The African continent is yet lacking in institutions that teaches modern method of doing business. Too many African Entrepreneurs are not even aware of the potential of doing business online! Of course, that will have to change, I intend to share what I have learned and still learning about starting and running a small business both offline and online right in Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa.
