Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

I wrote a post titled Using Windows Live Writer To Post and shared my personnal experience on how difficult it was to download the Free Windows Live Writer 2008. I was surprised that one of the Windows Live Writer Team member Joe Cheng, visited my blog and apologise in a comemnt for the inconvinience. That was not all, he also provided a link for a new version which can be downloaded easily, here is the link.

The most interesting aspect of his visit is the provision of a Video Tutorial that states in Simple Down To Earth manner, how to get Windows Live Writer, install it and start using it to blog. A friend of mine Mwangi of The Displaced Africans had earlier suggested that I write a tutorial for African bloggers who will most likely benefit from the software. I gave the excuse that I was not ready to produce such tutorial since I am just a new user. So it was with excitement that I grabbed the link for the Windows Live Writer Tutorial Video and pasted it in this post. (more…)

I just had an experience that shows that such situations are common in life but how an entrepreneur handles it is what matters.

For some days now, I have been having serious technical challenges with my website. Some of you (my loyal readers) may have suffered as a result. I lost some posts and comments that you made on my blog (I apologize if I lost your comment). The fault was not due to carelessness or bad planning on my part, I did my very best to keep the website running as per plan, however, the servers at my hosting company decided they needed a break. So, they hijacked the websites and converted them for placards. Visitors were greeted with differ kinds of gibberish error messages (it was not a funny situation). (more…)

How To Deal With Information Overload

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

How do you deal with information overload? I have more than three e-mail accounts. Each have suddenly become a terror and time stealer! Each day, there are several mails from opt-ins and newsletters that I have subscribed to at one website or the other. Some webmasters are inconsiderate; they send as much as two e-mails per week to me. Those e-mails cannot be called spam, because I requested for them, however, they are not helping me because they are too many and the information they provide does not justify the time I spend reading them. Why is this so? (more…)
