Hi friends, it is almost 72hours after I changed my web hosting company. The site is up and running (if you can read this), however, there are so many things that I still need to work on. That has made it almost impossible for me to respond to comments and emails. Please do bear with me. Hopefully, I will resume normal posting from next week. For now, I am too busy learning all I can to get my site back to its original state or preferably a better state than what it was before the change to a new web hosting company.

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008I was forced to change from my former hosting company to a new one after a protracted “incessant server outage”. My former hosting company support staff are quite friendly and they tried to encourage me to continue using their service, however, after receiving several emails and queries from my readers complaining that my website is often offline, I knew I had to change.
Why did it take me so long to change? Simple, I was afraid of the process of changing from one web hosting company to another. I have read several posts on the necessary steps to take, and my new hosting company promised to assist me all the way, but I wasn’t convinced. There are too many scary stories of people loosing their entire posts and other valuable data during such changes. There is also the danger of loosing Google Rank and other traffic statistics that had been built up with so much effort. (more…)
Windows Live Writer Tutorial
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008I wrote a post titled Using Windows Live Writer To Post and shared my personnal experience on how difficult it was to download the Free Windows Live Writer 2008. I was surprised that one of the Windows Live Writer Team member Joe Cheng, visited my blog and apologise in a comemnt for the inconvinience. That was not all, he also provided a link for a new version which can be downloaded easily, here is the link.
The most interesting aspect of his visit is the provision of a Video Tutorial that states in Simple Down To Earth manner, how to get Windows Live Writer, install it and start using it to blog. A friend of mine Mwangi of The Displaced Africans had earlier suggested that I write a tutorial for African bloggers who will most likely benefit from the software. I gave the excuse that I was not ready to produce such tutorial since I am just a new user. The Best Online Business To Start!
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008Rich Schefren of Strategic Profits wrote a post addressing the frequently asked question What’s the Best Online Business to start?. He is a guru I am a newbie. However before going through his post, I knew the answer to that question. When I eventually read through the whole article, I was ecstatic that he confirmed my answer as being 100% correct (that shows I am making progress in my online entrepreneur adventure).
Each of us starting a new venture wish a seer (someone who sees tomorrow) will simply tell us what to do and what not to do so that we can have straight business sucesses and no failure.
