How Do I Withdraw Money From My AlertPay Account?
I wrote about AlertPay sometime ago in a post titled How to receive Payment Online. AlertPay, which is a Canadian Online Payment Processing Company, is a competitor to the widely known PayPal Online Payment Processor. PayPal has refused to allow many African Entrepreneurs (especially Nigerians) to use its facility in conducting business online. Their reason being that those nations harbor SCAM Artists (I wonder if PayPal action can be justified as being fair, since every nation has their own set of black-sheep).
I strongly encourage African Entrepreneurs, especially Nigerian Entrepreneurs to subscribe to AlertPay service. Opening an account with them is free. You only pay fees when you are withdrawing or spending money from your account. This is similar to the bank charges that local banks takes for providing you with their service. You can get your free AlertPay Account by clicking any of the links or the banner below.
Free AlertPay Account
Well, AlertPay has proved to be a good competitor and they allow African Entrepreneurs including Nigerians to do business online using their payment processing facility. Of recent, I have received mails and IM’s requesting to know how an African Entrepreneur can withdraw fund from the AlertPay account into a local bank account.
The answer is simple and can easily be found on their website at the following url www.alertpay.com/info/worldwide.aspx (please, copy and paste url into your browser) However, for convenience sake, I will simply explain what is written there.
Depending on where you reside there are three (3) ways you can withdraw money from your AlertPay account.
1. You can request for a Check from AlertPay
You can then pay same into your domiciliary account with the local bank. All countries that are allowed to subscribe to AlertPay are eligible for this. In some countries, the cheque might take about 21days to get cleared.
2. You can request for a Direct Deposit into your local bank account
You can only use this method if your country of residence is eligible for such service. Please note that Nigeria is not eligible for such service. Only three countries in Africa are eligible, namely South Africa, Reunion and Mayotte.
3. You can request for Bank Wire Transfer
Almost all African Countries are eligble for this, except Republic of Congo.

I don’t think that is feasible. The alternative you have is that of asking another AlertPay user to exchange with you and pay into your savings account. Please don’t request that I do that for you, I don’t and I won’t have recommend any individual also. 🙂

I suggest you use another internet provider. There is nothing wrong with AlertPay site. I just checked. I’ll only ask you to navigate from my site so that I will get the credit for introducing you to them.

I believe the AlertPay website will be best place to ask this question as it is specific. I know it is possible to transfer funds in and out of your AlertPay account, but then, I don’t use Visa Card, so I cannot advice on the possibility of using Visa Card to withdraw or fund your AlertPay account. You can have AlertPay transfer funds from your account to any of the major banks in Nigeria. The only banks you won’t be able to transfer to are the Micro-finance banks. All the major banks have foreign correspondent banks via which you can receive the fund.
Also, if you collect a cheque from AlertPay, you can pay it into a domiciliary account in any of the commercial banks. GTBank can do this for you. Cheers.

I don’t fund alertpay account. You can use Google to search for Nigerian merchants that fund AlertPay. Maybe some of those that deal on Liberty can fund it for you. However, if you have a US domiciliary account, you can do wire fund transfer to fund it yourself. Cheers.

Umaru, from what you wrote, it is obvious you got the phone number wrong. You should have excluded the first 0 and simply entered your mobile number as +2348036508588. I suggest you do that first and see if it corrects the problem. If there is still an issue after doing that then i suggest you send a mail to the support service of AlertPay. Cheers.
Remove the leading zero… +2348036508588 or call the customer support agent using your registered number (this one). They will ask you your security questions and on answering correctly… Your account will be verified instantly

When you have sufficient fund in your Alertpay account, you can request for a wire transfer. It will cost you $15 and it will take between 3-4 working days before the fund hit your Nigerian domiciliary account. Also, you can request that a cheque be issued in your name and posted to you. That will cost you $4 and the arrival of the cheque will depend largely on our beloved NIPOST. The other alternative is to get someone that is willing to buy the fund and pay you Naira equivalent. You’ve not stated the fact clearly in such a way that someone will be able to help you. You said you want to verify your credit card. I guess that is a mistake. You meant to tell us that you want to verify your Alert Pay Account using a credit card. Also, you said you have a credit card. I hope what you have is really a credit card and not a debit card! It is good you state your facts clearly so that you won’t be misdirected.
Meanwhile, do the following now:
1. Tell us the Credit Card you have. Is it a Master Card or Visa Card.
2. Which Bank issued the card to you?
Once you provide those details, I believe someone will be able to help you based on what they did in time past.

Yes, you can use it for online transactions but it’s always better to verify it in order to deal with some merchants who accepts AlertPay for payment. You can verify AlertPay account with sms codes from your GSM phone and debit cards. You can get such credit cards through us. Thanks.
