WordPress 2.7

WordPress 2.7

This blog, Nigerian Entrepreneur is powered by  WordPress 2.7. I am really excited to say a big kudos to the WordPress Team for the newest version of the WordPress CMS software. It is truly an excellent piece of software. The WordPress Team truly kept their promise of Auto WordPress Upgrade. Since I upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.7, I have not had any issue with the new version of the blogging software. Indeed so many tasks have been simplified, and I am just in love with the ease of use.

For example, I can easily respond to comments or edit them as needed. Also, upgrading has never been easier. Every plugin on Nigerian Entrepreneur is up to date because updating plugins now takes just a click of the mouse.  So easy! 😉

What really got me excited was the upgrade from WordPress 2.7 to WordPress 2.7.1 The whole upgrade took less than 2minutes and I can hardly say I played any other role other than a single mouse click.  The transition was so smooth and faultless.  As a non-tech, this is good news and am very excited. It simply means I can concentrate fully on what I love doing, blogging while the software does the technical stuff for me. A big thanks to the WordPress Team. WordPress 2.7 Rocks !!! 😉

I took a mental note to Google and find out if anybody was having a hitch upgrading from WordPress 2.6.5 to WordPress 2.7 I was not ready as at then to meddle with my blog setup, having experienced some WordPress upgrade headache in time past.

This morning, I decided to take the bull by the horn and upgrade (I was ready for any eventualities that may crop up). After backing up, I started the Automatic Upgrade Plugin. Frankly, I was not expecting the upgrade to be smooth since WordPress 2.7 is a major upgrade (more…)
