Umaru, from what you wrote, it is obvious you got the phone number wrong. You should have excluded the first 0 and simply entered your mobile number as +2348036508588. I suggest you do that first and see if it corrects the problem. If there is still an issue after doing that then i suggest you send a mail to the support service of AlertPay. Cheers.

I don’t fund alertpay account. You can use Google to search for Nigerian merchants that fund AlertPay. Maybe some of those that deal on Liberty can fund it for you. However, if you have a US domiciliary account, you can do wire fund transfer to fund it yourself. Cheers.

You can have AlertPay transfer funds from your account to any of the major banks in Nigeria. The only banks you won’t be able to transfer to are the Micro-finance banks. All the major banks have foreign correspondent banks via which you can receive the fund.
Also, if you collect a cheque from AlertPay, you can pay it into a domiciliary account in any of the commercial banks. GTBank can do this for you. Cheers.

what bank here in nigeria can wire transfer be done to? besides in the list for withdraw nigeria is not listed,

I believe the AlertPay website will be best place to ask this question as it is specific. I know it is possible to transfer funds in and out of your AlertPay account, but then, I don’t use Visa Card, so I cannot advice on the possibility of using Visa Card to withdraw or fund your AlertPay account.
