WordPress 2.5.1 Released! WordPress 2.5.2 Almost Ready!

Hi, if you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. That way you will not miss any update. Thanks for visiting!

I noticed the announcement of the release of WordPress 2.5.1 in my admin dashboard late in the evening yesterday. I was still contemplating if I should go ahead and upgrade or wait for a little while before upgrading when I stumbled upon a post at xfep, you can read the post here.

My last upgrade from Wordpress 2.3 was dramatic enough, read the post Upgrade Your Wordpress Site Automatically . I am not willing to do two upgrade in quick succession. I am thinking of waiting for the Wordpress 2.5.2 before upgrading. However, I am open to suggestion and technical advice. If you have any, do not hesitate to drop a comment. Thanks in advance. Cheers. ;-)

If you are on WordPress 2.5, you should upgrade to 2.5.1 immediately. If you are on WordPress 2.3.3, you should wait until 2.5.2. At least that’s the sense I am getting from Mark and others.

I went ahead and did it, but didn’t notice any difference…other than the “upgrade to 2.5.1″ banner disappearing!!

I upgraded one of my blogs to 2.5.1 yesterday. It seems straight forward enough. I would actually recommend the 2.5.1 upgrade though, it fixes a major security flaw and also fixes the problems some people were having with using the media manager

Well, I guess if you have upgraded before and have a grip of it, continue to do so. I really did not like the initial 2.5. It lacked many features that I was used to in the 2.3 like word count. Upgrade and see what it is like. Of course you have to backup too in case yawah gas!

I have 2.5 and also wanted to wait for later versions, but from comments I see here, I think I’ll upgrade to 2.5.1 right away
